From Rescue Hobby to Cat Café

Purrista Cat Café began not as a business idea, but as a rescue effort from the founder. With limited space at home and an ever-growing number of rescued cats, the founder and her mother decided to open a café that could both sustain the cats and create a welcoming space for cat lovers.

Today, the café is home to more than 30 rescued cats, many of which were saved from abandonment. Once discarded when they were no longer “useful,” these cats are now safe, loved, and waiting for better futures.

A Place Where Every Sip Helps

Running a cat café is no small feat—the monthly expenses for the cats alone reach over RM30,000. Yet, every drink and every pastry you order at Purrista Cat Café directly contributes to their care.

The café’s menu features a selection of comforting drinks and crowd-favourite treats, including their popular matcha and freshly baked pastries. But beyond the food and drinks, what truly makes the experience special is spending time with the café’s gentle and affectionate cats — knowing that every visit also helps support their care and well-being.
